Product Photography

Never let anyone tell you that photography is just technical. It’s an art form, and always is an art form, even with product photography. Yes, sometimes if one is doing a lot of the same thing in a photo box setup, it can be fairly undemanding but even then, one must get the lighting right. When photographing larger items and items that cannot be moved around very easily it gets considerably more demanding. Above you will find the actual product photograph followed by the raw image for a product shoot. I was not really going to be moving much of this, nor did the business want me moving it, so I shot most of it in place, followed by a number of hours of editing. I am particularly apt at that, having worked with Photoshop since Photoshop 1, many years now. I’ve added to my tools and used many of them for this demanding shoot. I hope you get the picture. Doing it right takes time and creativity.
