The Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse is top-shelf everything, as well as locally owned and operated.

The Steaks are amazing, but the salad bar is probably the best I’ve seen in Lubbock (or, for that matter, anywhere). They have a large selection of fine wine and other liquor. 

It’s also elegant, with fine, white linen tablecloths, sparkling dishes, and stemware in a great southwest Lubbock location. I’m taking my wife there for her birthday, but it should impress anyone, from spouses to romantic dates, or for that important business meeting or client. 

 Located at 5107 82nd Street here in Lubbock, it occupies the northwest corner of a large, newer building on the south side of the street. Seating at the back of the restaurant overlooks greenery and a small lake just behind the restaurant.

Yet I might have been most impressed by the friendliness of the staff. They aim to please, and it comes through loud and clear. 

This is the type of restaurant we need in Lubbock, and I’m proud to have them. It’s one of those must-visit places that makes my job as a professional food photographer fun.
